The spring does not deviate laterally until it is blocked, and once unloaded, it returns to its original length. The clutch spring retains all its elastic strength. The spring rate is significantly tighter than that of an original spring. Ideal for high-performance engines.

The advantages are a lighter clutch that separates more quickly and is extremely durable.
Despite the seemingly smaller pad surface, the clutch with the CR pad type can transmit more torque with the same elastic force. For this, only the effective radius is decisive, not the size of the friction surface as such (this is only relevant for wear).
Thanks to the extremely durable pad material, CR pads can also be used in very powerful engines in everyday use. A major advantage is the taller clutch discs compared to the
original discs.
RECOMMENDATION We also recommend a low-alloy gear oil of API GL3/GL4 classes for high-performance engines to prevent clutch slippage even under extreme loads.
Note: The entire lining package is approximately 1 mm lower with these linings
After installing the clutch, check if the clutch touches the clutch cover. If necessary, rework the whole thing or use an outward-facing cover. Alternatively, you can use the spacer ring we offer separately

The CMX is defined as a turned clutch because the basket is integral with the gear (pinion). This technical choice allows the basket (commonly known as the
bell) to remain stationary when the clutch is pulled (clutch disengagement).
Thanks to this reversal of moving parts, the clutch
becomes much more progressive in the initial thrust phase of the Vespa
minimizing any annoying jerks at start-up
(a problem known to old-design clutches). This precaution,
together with the significant contact points of the lined discs and conducting discs,
makes the CMX an ideal clutch for engines with power
greater than 15 hp, avoiding premature wear caused by the
hammering of the contact parts.

Smart MRP solution to continue drawing cold air from the frame when using larger carburetors.
The opening in the frame measures approximately 60x44mm. The area is therefore equivalent to a carburetor with a cross-section greater than Ø50mm. Thus, the intake pipe solution offers no performance loss even on very powerful engines. Thanks to the cooler intake air, better results can be expected under heavy load, which otherwise strongly heats the intake air under the side cover.
Another great advantage is that the frame can also be used as sound insulation. Engines that have been converted to diaphragm-controlled intake can thus drastically reduce the noise level of the intake air. For this purpose, the frame can be further lined from the inside with sound-absorbing material.
