The HTQ Malossi gears for Vespa PX inherit the legacy of the first gear project produced by Malossi between the late 80s and early 90s.
Completely redesigned, this pair of primary gears uses a straight tooth configuration instead of the standard helical ones.
Malossi has worked hard to ensure the exceptional quietness of the gears, achieved with special machining of the teeth and their contact surfaces, meticulously finished and verified with an involute meter.
The HTQ Malossi gears are made using exclusively materials that exceed the very strict standards imposed by our technicians with rigorous tests and trials.
The final machining uses numerically controlled machines, after which the HTQ Malossi gears undergo a complete thermochemical carburizing treatment at 900°C, giving them the required hardness and resistance.
The size and quality of the finished gears are finally verified on Zeiss three-dimensional control machines.
