The clutch is one of the most important components of every Vespa engine. Its function is to ensure an adequate transfer of engine power between the crankshaft and the wheel. To transfer larger amounts of engine power, more friction is required within the clutch. Harder springs create more pressure, resulting in greater friction. Carefully choose the material and number of clutch discs based on your engine's power. RDV tip: Soak the clutch discs in transmission oil for at least 3 hours before installation.
