Engine and parts: The heart and driving force of the Vespa, the Engine and parts section is located at the rear of the vehicle, firmly anchored to the frame by two pins:
the first, at the end of the central tunnel and the second to the shock absorber.
Given its importance, the engine is composed of numerous and different parts. In a complete overhaul, it is good to check the wear of all the spare parts, paying particular attention to the crosspiece,

The fastening tool is necessary to loosen and secure the Vario nut. To do this, the tool is placed on the pulley with the two retaining tabs and screwed into the engine housing via the bushing and the screw. Now you can easily loosen/tighten the nut with a ratchet or torque wrench. No workshop should be without this tool, but it is also advisable to always carry the fastening tool with you during tours. Anyone who has ever tried to change a broken V-belt in the middle of nowhere without a fastening tool will know how important the small fastening tool can be for the Vario.

We subjected the set to a long and thorough stress test on the road and highway. The result is so convincing and reliable that we can now offer it as a set for the expert mechanic.
It allows the use of a Malossi 210 Sport cylinder from the PX200/Rally/Cosa models on the engine casings of the Vespa Largeframe models starting from 1977, the date from which the engine casings were converted to three transfers.
ADAPTER SET
The conversion is based on a crankshaft with rods 20 mm longer (125 mm instead of 105 mm). The solid CNC machined steel adapter plate is bolted to the engine casing and accepts the studs for the PX200 cylinder. A 1.5 mm thick aluminum gasket between the adapter plate and the cylinder base seals the screw holes and establishes the correct installation height.
MALOSSI SPORT
adapter set 07-AA-179-IR is designed for use with a Malossi Sport 210 cylinder. For this purpose, however, it is absolutely necessary to remove the spindle from the engine casing, as the Malossi cylinder base cannot be shortened without losing stability.

This kit has been designed and developed for plug & play assembly, requiring no modifications to the engine casing. The power output is 21 HP at 7800 rpm and can reach up to 8500 rpm if properly configured.
In terms of performance and reliability, nothing to say, as this product has undergone 2 years of road testing and in the summer of 2019 traveled 10,000 km to and from Nord Kapp.
The kit is purely handcrafted, originating from sand castings strictly Made in Italy to provide those quality and reliability characteristics that distinguish it.
It can be installed on any type of low headlight casing with 3 studs from the year 1953 onwards. Having the short insertion neck in the casing, it requires no modifications. It requires the installation of a 60 stroke crankshaft, 110 rod.
The kit includes: head, cylinder, piston, reed valve pack, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, rubber sleeve for 24 PHBL carburetor, gaskets, and various bolts.

Basket in "Ergal" with hard anodization specific for VMC clutch plates or "CR80" model plates
Internal steel spider with hardening treatment complete with bushing and shim.
- 4 aluminum conductors with custom-made carbon/kevlar friction material and "CR80" type teeth.
- 4 laser-cut steel driven plates for the most precise pinion/plate coupling possible.
Clutch pack closing ring in laser-cut harmonic steel with holes for circlip pliers.
- with the set of 10 soft springs the clutch withstands power of about 20hp
- with the set of 10 hard springs the clutch withstands power of about 35hp
- with the set of 10 Extra hard springs the clutch withstands power of about 45hp
Note: the clutch only fits with Piaggio 8 springs type "Cosa" pinions and clutch plates
