After years of use in all weather conditions, the platform undergoes significant deterioration due to continuous exposure to humidity and water. Therefore, during the restoration and sandblasting phase, its replacement may become necessary. For several years, many manufacturers have been creating platforms with various characteristics related to thickness, finish, and length. One must choose a platform that can meet their needs without replacing what is not necessary. They are available in lengths of 70 cm to reach the beginning of the tunnel where water often corrodes the sheet metal or about 40 cm long, reaching the height of the brake pedal. RDV TIP: Carefully check the measurement to receive the correct platform, and insulate the tunnel with appropriate protective material before installing the new one!
