ENGINE AND PARTS
The heart and driving force of the Vespa, the Engine and Parts section is located at the rear of the vehicle, firmly anchored to the frame by two pins:
the first, at the end of the central tunnel and the second to the shock absorber.
Given its importance, the engine is composed of numerous and different parts. Here are some essential ones:
- Gearbox gears - the Vespa's gearbox consists of gears always in mesh which, thanks to the cross, ensures the possibility to change gear

previous version, the flywheel is no longer co-molded in nylon. The new

Single ring
The Pinasco thermal unit "EVOTEN BIG BORE QUADRO" Ø 46mmx46mm is a new product dedicated to the world of Piaggio mopeds with a 46mm stroke crankshaft and is the specific thermal unit for Pinasco 46x46 Master and Slave crankcases.
The displacement is close to 80cc, it is equipped with a single ring piston and mounts flanged exhaust manifolds of 22, 25, and 28mm.
The Pinasco thermal unit "EVOTEN BIG BORE QUADRO" is supplied with the new unified central spark plug head with 5 studs fixed in a recess and complete with a decompression valve that definitively eliminates the problem of leaks in the combustion chamber and the consequent performance drops; the compression ratio is 13.5:1.
