WHY FKM/FKM
The FKM material (fluorocarbon rubber) is extremely resistant to heat, friction, and fuel/ethanol.
The current super fuel in Germany already contains up to 5% ethanol. In other countries, the ethanol/alcohol content is significantly higher.
Conventional shaft seals can swell or soften upon contact with ethanol-containing fuels. BGM PRO FKM rotary shaft seals offer perfect protection against this.
Moreover, FKM is twice as resistant to temperatures compared to traditional shaft seals (blue) NBR, has excellent gas impermeability, and is also very resistant to aging.
