The new Malossi primary transmission for the Vespa is a true concentration of engineering. From the highest quality materials to the attention to detail and the quality of mechanical processes, everything is brought to a very high level. From the bronze bushing to the clutch basket and gears, everything is worked separately to ensure that each individual component is produced according to the highest quality standard.
The core of the innovations introduced in this transmission is the new clutch bell, made from special solid steel and characterized by six slots for the clutch discs, all six "active" and designed to lock the discs. In this way, all mechanical play is minimized, as are vibrations and the consequent wear of the basket itself and the guide teeth of the discs.
