The oil seal is a very important element when we talk about engine seals. For optimal performance, the seal on the crankshaft must be perfect and this is achieved thanks to a spring inside the oil seal lip. Over time, it loses elasticity and wears out, causing the engine to draw in air and compromising its operation (irregular RPM, lack of idle seal). It is recommended to replace them with high-end products in Viton, PTFE, Corteco, Ariete, Rolf, Malossi to ensure good performance and keep you away from problems. RDV TIP: ALWAYS check that the seal on the shaft is optimal, even by simply testing it by hand before positioning it; if not, also check the crankshaft.
