The oil seal is a very important component when it comes to engine seals. For optimal performance, the seal on the crankshaft must be perfect, which is achieved thanks to a spring inside the oil seal lip. Over time, it loses elasticity and wears out, causing the engine to draw in air and compromising its operation (irregular RPM, lack of idle stability). It is recommended to replace them with high-end products in Viton, PTFE, Corteco, Ariete, Rolf, Malossi, which will ensure good performance and keep you away from problems. RDV TIP: ALWAYS check that the seal on the shaft is optimal, even simply by feeling it by hand before positioning it. If not, also check the crankshaft.
