After years of use amidst all weather conditions, the platform undergoes significant deterioration due to continuous exposure to moisture and water; therefore, during restoration and related sandblasting, its replacement may become necessary. For several years, many manufacturers have been creating platforms with various characteristics related to thickness, finish, and length. One must choose a platform that meets their needs without replacing what is unnecessary. They are available in lengths of 70 cm to reach the beginning of the tunnel where water often corrodes the metal, or about 40 cm long that reach the height of the brake pedal.
