The gear shift cross is a high-wear component, it is continuously subjected to stress as it "pulls" the selected gear in motion and then shifts from one gear to another, undergoing pressure once again. After many kilometers, it is possible that under stress a gear may slip out, causing that annoying slipping; this is due to the fact that the cross becomes rounded and worn, reducing its grip surface. It is better to replace it immediately to avoid greater damage (gear deterioration). Install quality crosses like Piaggio, Fa Italia, CIF, Crimaz, Fabbri, FAIO, all available on our portal. RDV TIP: When opening the engine, check ALL parts subject to wear such as oil seals, O-rings, clutch discs, crankshaft, to perform the work only once!!
