The gear selector is a high-wear component, constantly subjected to stress as it "drives" the selected gear in motion and then shifts from one gear to another, undergoing pressure once again. After many kilometers, it is possible that under stress a gear might slip, creating that annoying slippage; this is because the selector becomes rounded and worn, reducing its gripping surface. It is better to replace it immediately to avoid greater damage (gear deterioration). Install high-quality selectors from Piaggio, Fa Italia, CIF, Crimaz, Fabbri, FAIO, all available on our portal.
