Head gasket 0.5-1mm (Quattrini M232, M244 cylinder) for Vespa PX200

Thick base and head gaskets/spacers are necessary for highly positioned cylinders and cylinders with a longer stroke. When using a long-stroke crankshaft, half the length of the additional stroke must be compensated by a head and/or base gasket. With compensation from a base gasket, the exhaust timing extends and the transfer timing is significantly longer. If the intake is also slightly raised by milling, the engine can be optimized for higher RPMs. Compensation with a head gasket extends the exhaust and transfer timings only slightly, with the transfer timing changing more than the exhaust timing (= less blow down). This represents optimization for more torque at mediocre RPMs.
