- innovative Teflon inlays to increase the internal pressure of the crankcases from the lowest revs
The PINASCO COMPETITION crankshaft significantly increases power and maximum torque from low revs, the engine's rotational speed increases, improving overall performance.

After the success of the first aluminum thermal unit for Vespa "Farobasso", Pinasco continued development in this field and is now pleased to present the new 160cc thermal unit for Vespa "Farobasso" / 5% cylinder reed valve. Perfectly
interchangeable with the original thermal unit, it keeps the aesthetics unchanged and substantially increases the vehicle's performance. Thanks to the reed valve intake, the "rejection" problems of classic "Piston Port" are eliminated, making the engine even more fun and enjoyable to ride. The power and torque increase
even further compared to the previous cylinder while maintaining reliability. The Pinasco 160cc Reed Valve thermal unit brings all Vespa 5% into modernity while retaining all the original components.
Attention: when using VM / VN / ACMA engine cases, the piston skirt must be shortened by approx. 3-4mm.

Have you ever wondered what a Vespa engine from the 50s would be like
produced with 2020 technology? Pinasco can finally give you the
answer you've been waiting for with the new engine casing dedicated to the world of
"grandmothers". Die-casting technology, steel sliding track inserts,
engine casing closure with studs,
new gear shaft bearings, crankshaft increased by +7mm in
width compared to the original, reed valve intake (optional),
prepared for 4-speed gearbox, high-speed main bearings,
operating with 2% oil mixture.
All this without changing the engine's aesthetics, the outer walls have NOT been sandblasted to maintain the color and raw style of the historic engines, the logos
have been placed in hidden areas and with period fonts, to have a modern product but as similar as possible to the original.
The new Pinasco Wide Frame Engine Casing allows you to use the Old Vespa
exactly like the more modern ones with high performance and
reliability.

developed for the touring world for "Vespa Wide Frame". The Flytech
Touring ignition is characterized by a Zama cast fan
similar to the original that keeps the Vespa's design unchanged and is
equipped with a high voltage "Sparkey" unit. The main features of this new ignition are: - greater inertia (increase and redistribution of peripheral weight) - high voltage spark plug - "Original Style", does not alter the Vespa's aesthetics - greater reliability thanks to operation without pick-up and enhanced electronic unit.

necessary for assembly, including a specific foam air filter that fits perfectly into the carburetor compartment without modifying any original elements. The Pinasco carburetor kit uses a Dell'Orto carburetor whose tuning components are easily available on the market for optimal carburetion.
